Made out of fresh pomegranate, grenadine is perfect as an ingredient for cocktails, or simply mixed with water.
For 500 millilitres of syrup:
In a small sauce pan, bring to a boil:
Once the seeds and water are reaching boiling point, simmer for 10 minutes.
Drains the seeds, keeping the now flavoured water. Juice the pomegranate seeds using a press or a juicer, and mix the pomegranate juice with the flavoured water.
Let the mixture cool down until it reaches room temperature. Decant overnight to let as many particles drop to the bottom of the liquid.
Once decanted, put the liquid into a sauce pan with 300 grams of sugar.
Bring the juice and sugar to a boil. As soon as the syrup reaches boiling point, transfer it to a bottle.
Once the syrup cools down to room temperature, it is ready to drink, in a cocktail or simply mixed with water.
